As BCCI has announced that , it may include some new teams in the third season of IPL. Keralite’s are the first to enter in to the competition. Veteran director priyadarshan has joined hands with his childhood buddy and kerala star Mohanlal, to form thier new IPL team for thier soil. He also adds that there are lots of youngsters in Kerala and Tamilnadu waiting to get a break. They have the talent but lack of exposure and world class training facilities. Now they both are working towards their dream with the tacit support of Kerala cricket association, affiliated to BCCI. Mohanlal, says “we’re trying to nurture local talent as the most successful IPL. The duo has roped in Shashi Tharoor, the new union minister of state for External Affairs as chairman of thier team, to be called city cricketers. Two NRIs and a few corporate are willing to fund the project which cost around 250 crores. Former Indian player and fielding coach Robin Singh has been signed as the technical director, “ the KCA will approach the BCCI with our proposal and if all goes well we will start our IPL innings next year” concludes Priyadarshan.

Where they went wrong?

The reasons behind their failures are the three main reasons
· DMDK
· Wrong strategy of campaigning
The first big disaster was DMDK. The party contested in all 40 seats but faced a huge failure even then they have split the anti-DMK votes. Which was initially went to AIADMK. DMDK decided the winning side in 14 constituencies. And they are
· Virudhu nagar, Villupuram , Sriperumbudur
· Theni, Kallakuruchi, Nagapatinam
· Krishnagiri , Siva Gangai, Chennai (central)
· Cuddalore, Tirunelveli , Chennai (north)
· Kanchipuram, Dindigul
In this article I too want to mention the words of the senior journalist Mr.Cho Ramaswamy he said “DMDK is not an alternate for the both Dravidian giants. Those who think it as a alternate are fooling themselves”.
So AIADMK failed to explain the people that votes to DMDK is hopeless and it has no value. If they would have explained this successfully their winning margin would be increased.
The next important reason is miss.Jayalalitha’s wrong strategy of campaign. Actually there are lots of complaints against the ruling party in the state like frequent power cut; high bus fare, rise of inflation etc. but she took the wrong issue in her hand for campaigning and that is Sri Lankan Tamil issue. She concentrated on it more than that of the day today problem which didn’t reach the people properly.
As the assembly elections are ahead Miss.Jayalalitha has to bring DMDK in her allies or she should split the opposition allies if she can make any one of the thing possible. She is sure to get the power.

ARE WE SOFTWARE PIRATES?

What is software piracy, exactly?
It is the unauthorized duplication, distribution or use of computer software — for example, making more copies of software than the license allows, or installing software licensed for one computer onto multiple computers or a server.
Its so prevalent here that almost no one pays for software and hence the SW companies do not have revenue motive to localize their software for India. A further study revealed that 63% of all PCs in India ship with pirated Windows!!!! A person who is ready to use a pirated OS, will surely not pay for any other software he installs on that box. So this can lead to millions of dollars lost in revenue for the SW companies.
Its so bad that frankly till date I have never seen a home user using a legitimate copy of Windows. Even I don’t have one. I think that this is because of the economy of our country. Also, what I think when I download a software from internet is, “why should I buy a software because already I am paying for the internet access?”. And we don’t want to spend on software's when we have lot of other things to spend on.
This is not only my perception, most of us think that way.
Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) is really a very good initiative to encourage people to buy originals. As the name suggests it has several advantages. I think business giants should bring more commercial software markets in India and sell original software's at lesser price. This not only gives direct access to software but also is an alternative for today’s online purchase.
My resolution :
I have resolved that next time when I buy a laptop or a PC, surely I will install an original operating system and at least have 30% of my software's original. So, what do you think?. Will you also take the same resolution? Say what you think about this?

WHAT TO AVOID WHEN BUYING NOTEBOOKS?

Other features of current notebooks, though, are less desirable - and more controversial. Know what they are before you buy a notebook, and you’re more likely to remain happy about your purchase.
When you buy a notebook computer, pay special attention to whether the LCD is “glossy” or “matte”. Increasingly, manufacturers are offering glossy screens. While these are great for watching movies on your laptop, they’re not optimal for doing traditional office work.
The reason: the glossy screens are highly reflective. In typical office environments, glossy screens can be hard on both your eyes and your concentration, as you’ll have to work harder to ignore the ambient lighting and background objects that are reflected in your screen.
Bottom line: if you’re buying a notebook primarily to get work done and not to watch movies or play games, avoid glossy screens. Most notebooks on the market today come with built-in wireless network connectivity. The trouble is that many still include yesterday’s technology.
The wireless transmission standard is about to get a big boost in speed with the official unveiling of the 802.11n standard, which provides Internet and networking connectivity speeds that are about 10 times faster than the wireless standards currently in use.
That’s a significant speed boost, and it’s one you want in your notebook computer, especially because changing the type of wireless connectivity that you have in a notebook is difficult or impossible once you buy the machine.
Avoid notebooks that offer only the built-in 802.11b or 802.11g wireless cards. Even if the version of 802.11n offered in a notebook sold today is dubbed “draft” or “pre-release”, it’ll likely still be far faster than the 802.11g standard - and you’ll probably be able to upgrade it later, once the standard is finally ratified.
How well a notebook computer is built will likely determine whether you still own it three years from now or whether it gets sold off for parts. The unfortunate fact is that as competition has forced manufacturers to offer notebooks as rock-bottom prices, quality of exterior construction has suffered.
If you’ll be doing a lot of travelling or will be buying a notebook for a youngster, think about buying notebooks that were made to take some abuse.
The Dell Latitude series, the Acer TravelMate, or the Lenovo ThinkPad are all highly regarded in terms of durability.
Combine a powerful processor, fast hard drive, and hefty battery, and what do you get? Heat - and lots of it. There’s a good reason why the moniker “laptop” has all but disappeared: Some notebook computers are really not suitable for resting on your lap because they get too hot on the underside to hold comfortably.
But some notebook computers are still designed for those who wish to work from their lap. That’s why it’s important to find out just how hot a laptop gets on the underside.
Either contact the manufacturer and ask specifically about this or visit a store in which the notebook is running, and feel the underside.
Noise is less of a problem with notebooks than it once was, but it can still be a factor - especially if you’re easily bothered by noise while working. Noise in notebooks generally comes from two sources: the hard drive and the cooling fan. If you want to eliminate the source of hard drive altogether, consider a new notebook with a solid-state drive.
