The much awaited movie of the year “Raavan” is going to get released by June 18 here we present the exclusive synopsis about the movie and its character with the director’s note. The movie has Junior Bachchan, Aishwarya rai Bachchan, Vikram, Govinda in the lead. The Tamil version consists of Vikram, Aishwarya rai Bachchan, Karthik, Prithiviraj, Priyamani in the lead. The songs of the hindi version has already been a chart buster.

Synopsis
Beer Munda - Undisputed, Unlawful, Untamed
Dev Pratap Sharma – The Punisher, The Law, The Righteous
Ragini – Conscience, Beauty, Music
Dev falls in love with Ragini, a spunky classical dancer who is as unconventional as him. They get married and take up his new post in a small town in north India. But the town is in control of Beera who is a tribal and has a strong hold on the town for years. Dev tries to explore the world of Beera which claims lives and Beera is injured. Now Beera’s turn to hit back Dev which draws Dev, Ragini and Beera into the scary dense forest. This journey is full of emotions, beliefs and conviction which are as confusing as the forest. And in this journey is a good chance to confront their truths of life. The forest turns to battle ground. When the goods start looking like evil and when hate turns love which side you will stand for? “Love is a battle that nobody wins but everyone must fight”.The movie is going to be a visual treat for all and yet another foot print of Maniratnam to Indian cinema.

Maddy: In the right direction

Maddy alias Madhavan had a big year of 2009 with his 3 Idiots and he is more than happy about being part of it. Even though Aamir Khan was captain of the ship, maddy is quite happy learning from him. And he is looking forward for his release Teen Patti where he is sharing his screens with Amitabh Bachchan and Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley of "Gandhi" fame. Madhavan is very selective about his projects, he is not accepting the offers just like that. In an recent interview he revealed that he got a opportunity once in life time to work with both of his role models in a single project. Maybe that's because of he came a long way. He started out with veteran director Mani Ratnam, then Kamal Haasan, last project with Aamir Khan and now its Amitabh Bachchan. Definitely, he is going in the right direction. He is one of the biggest stars in South India, but he is not yet played any lead role in Bollywood (but few unnoticed), of course he does 13B but it made him familiar but he is a long way more to go. Although he is playing roles with legends, he needs to be noticed separately as an individual performer. I hope he will achieve it soon as he did in Kollywood. Best wishes to Maddy. Keep going!!!

56th National Awards

The National Film Awards for the year 2008 was announced and Bollywood has bagged the cakes as much as 13 awards, Priyanka Chopra tops with the best actress award for the film "Fashion". Best Actor award to Upendra Limaye for Marathi Film "Jogva". And the Best Director award was won by the evergreen movie maker Bala for his movie "Naan Kadavul". King Khan "Aamir Khan"

Being the superstars of the Indian cinema, when it comes to non-film, both the khans are as different as chalk and cheese. SRK never let the financial opportunity to go off but Aamir in turn proves that he is a person who sees for the quality, not money. A source revealed, when Shah Rukh Khan asked to release the book of the Management Guru, Arindam Choudry, earlier this month in Delhi, SRK demanded Rs.30 Lakhs. But when the book author approached Aamir Khan for his book launch, he in spite of demanding money, agreed for the launch on one condition that he has to read the book first, if he likes it, then only he will accept the deal. The author is now waiting for Aamir’s response. Can you guess how much Aamir would charge for the honours? It is ZERO rupees. When he asked why, he replied that it would insult the Hindu goddess of learning Saraswati if you try to make money out of such things. Hats off to Aamir!!!

Cigarettes Please, says Deepika

Apart from the same kind of stories like a poor guy who fall in love with the girl and finally how he succeeds in achieving the girl's love in the climax, bollywood is awaiting for a new kind of funny psychological thriller, titled Karthik Calling Karthik. Farhan Akhtar, the film maker and actor, is holding hands with an heartthrob Deepika Padukone this time. This is not only a special film for Farhan but Deepika too. She is playing a very modern girl who smokes, Farhan advises her not to smoke and eventually getting her quit to smoking(Really a different story!!!) . The moment she heard to smoke for the film, she never accepted it, fear of getting addicted into it. To make her rest of the feeling, film makers had planned to offer an organic cigarette which is no harm for her as well as environment. Finally the Bangalore beauty is now smoking an (organic) cigarette at the sets. Hope its going to be a very long Ad film which says the message “Smoking is injurious to health”.

No More Shahid- Priyanka Chopra

What if you were happened to jump from a 5 storey building to the 60 feet pool? Definitely I will not do it. But what if you got a chance to do it along with bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra? Probably I would be the first person to accept it(!!!). And this is what happened at the sets of her latest release Pyaar Impossible and Uday Chopra had a chance, jumped along with the Desi girl but the thing was, they did it for fun! She is very excited about the movie and happy yet with the results. The former miss world is having an ample of projects for 2010 and what gains attention is, Priyanka Chopra to have a face-off with hot bebo Katrina Kaif in ‘Dostana 2’. But still yet to figure out where and how she will appear as the script work for the movie is in progress. Believe it or not, Priyanka is getting close to Uday, she admits and it’s still a myth whether Shahid-Priyanka are still dating or ended up? But she is doing no more films in the year 2010 with Shahid.

Yet Another High Drama!

You may think that the title itself seems to be idiotic and really whose story is the movie "3 Idiots". Before the movie was released, every common individual (including the Author of the novel) believed that the story is based on the bestseller "Five Point Someone" and the talks were being held for almost an year. But after the release, movie makers have completely disagreed with this and they wore a sole coat for the story and no one is ready to accept that the movie which had some inspiration from the novel. Only the common people who have seen the movie as well as read the novel, have the rights to comment on it I guess. Now I have the rights to comment here since I have done both. It is completely acceptable that the screenplay of the movie is totally changed and it never resembled the FPS novel. But the fact is the storyline as well as some of the knots in the movie are tied from the novel and I don't know why Aamir Khan and Hirani are not ready to accept it. Frankly telling, the plot of the story, the narration, and the definition for "machine" etc., are same as the book. But Aamir had accused Chetan Bhagat trying to steal the credit from the storywriter of the movie and vice versa. But I wonder why the film makers didn't speak out that the story is their own and not based on any novel before the movie was released and why did they have contract with Chetan as per his words? However it maybe, it is appreciable that the film makers haven't done any copy, paste stuff (if they had really inspired from the novel) and the movie is really a feel good category, 100% entertainer. Even the controversies are the great boost-up for the movie's publicity and it really falls under one of the greatest ever hits of Aamir Khan.

SRK-ASH: Rab ne bana di jodi???

What would be the result of the movie if it had a pair of two extremes? Your answer for this question is what exactly going to happen. Yes, the bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan and the beauty queen Aishwarya Rai are going to hit the big screen very soon. We never forget the super icons' romantic soap opera was pulled in the dirt at the Chalte Chalte shoots and rumoured that Salman Khan got drunk and misbehaved with her former love Ash in the sets, and abused SRK when he intervened etc., Consequently Ash was kicked out of the film by the star producer SRK by stating that it had no apologies and replaced Rani Mukherjee. And the beauty icon hit it hard back by saying "Shahrukh Khan may be the greatest in his field, but he has a long way to go as a human being." It should be noted that the king khan was not invited for Abhishek-Ash marriage. But now the cinematographer-director Rajiv Menon, had succeeded in pairing SRK-Ash in his upcoming movie which is yet to be named. When SRK asked about it, he stated that he has no problem with pairing Ash and she also has no uncomfortable to work with him. Finally the stars had broken the ice but we, the common audiences are not still. It doesn't matters about the bollywood politics has no logics or ideals. Without confusing about the past, stay cool and enjoy the happenings as well as the movies.

Amitab to be starred as "Dalai Lama"

If sources are to be believed senior Bachchan and Jr.Bachchan will be starred together in a Hollywood movie which will be directed by a French director Jan Kounen and the projected will be funded by Manuel de la Roche, the Paris based producer. The project has been titled as “The Secret History of the Dalai Lamas.” The director will approach the Bachchan’s soon for the pivotal role in the movie. In an interview Roche revealed that “The film will trace the history of the Dalai Lamas all the way from 14th century. It will blend dramatized re-enactments involving the earlier incarnations with excerpts from an interviews with the current Dalai Lama.” The movie also stars Hollywood’s gorgeous girl Sharon Stone and Richard Gere. According to the director the movie will start to role by early 2010 and the film will be shot in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and some other parts in Indian sub continent. The movie will reach the theatres by the end of 2010. Roche also said that “are very keen to cast the father and son duo in key roles in the film. Sharon Stone will step in as the narrator, while Hollywood star Richard Gere will also be involved with the project.” The father son duo has already starred together in Sarkar, Sarkar Raj, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and the recent flick Pa.

Hat- Trick Hits For Aamir

Aamir khan is once again back in the lime light for his latest release “3 Idiots” which is creating wonders in box- office. For Aamir it is a Hat Trick hit after his directional debut “Taare Zameen Par” and “Ghajini” which was released in the December of 2007 and 2008. “3 Idiots” has been distributed by Relaince BIG Entertainment with 2000 prints and the movie already earned Rs. 4 crores through paid reviews. Kamal Gianchandani, head of domestic distribution of Reliance BIG Pictures, told that the movie was first screened by 6pm on Thursday despite of the cricket match the show was filled up by the audience. Earlier Aamir’s directional venture “Taare Zameen Par” which was released on December 21, 2007 had grossed Rs. 37 crores in box- office and his next project “Ghajini” which was released by December 25, 2008 grossed over Rs.200 crores in box- office. But Aamir denied that he is not a superstitious person it was a mere coincidence that his last three releases happened to be in December he also adds that “Ghajini was supposed to be an October release, but it had to be postponed to December because I was injured”. His latest flick “3 Idiots” which has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani of “Munna Bhai” fame and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the casting includes Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan and Boman Irani. The movie criticizes Indian educational system in a subtle manner.

Now SRK Don's Super Hero Cap

Shahrukh now takes “Super Hero” avatar in his next venture to entertain people. His next project is titled as “Ra.1” which will be produced by his home production Red Chillies Entertainment. In this venture sexy Bebo Kareena will be starred opposite to him. The pair was casted last in Santosh Sivan’s “Ashoka” in 2001. Due to the bitter past Kareena opted out of Karan Johar’s “Kal Ho Na Ho”. With changing times Kareena resolved her rift with SRK and made special appearances in his “Billu” and “Don”. But now sources confirm that Kareena is roped into the project. The script of the movie will be penned by Hollywood’s famous writer-director David Benullo of “Around The World in 80 Days” fame and the project will be directed by Anubhav Sinha who had already directed movies like “Tum Bin, Cash” in the past. Anubhav also added that this will be not a routine Bollywood movie it will have some extra- ordinary visual effects and sound effects. The movie will be mostly shot in US and Mumbai and sexy Bebo will perform some never before stunts in the movie and also the buzz is that SRK will be flying from sky to save the people. Ash & Abhi in Oprah's Show

This is the prestigious moment for the Junior Bachchan and his beloved wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan soon they are going to make their presence in world famous Oprah Winfrey show. Aishwarya who has the international star status has already appeared in the show now his beau Abhishek has also been invited for the show. For Aishwarya Rai Bachchan this is the second time is being a part of the show. Earlier in the show Ash spoke about the culture and heritage of India. And she also expressed about living with parents, human values and importance’s of family culture which is the international identity of India. The ambitious project of the Karan Johar “My Name is Khan” is going places the recent news is a famous foreign studio has purchased its abroad distribution rights for 95- 98 crores. The SRK- Kajol the hottest pair of B- town is going to sizzle on screen after “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam”. Karan Johar has roped in the foreign studio in order to make his dream venture as successful one. Karan also adds that “Only a major foreign studio has the capability to take Indian cinema to the international market”. As trade pundits say that this is the huge amount for any Indian studio. The movie is also created a new record by releasing in 600 theatres in North America. It also be said that it’s the widest release of any Bollywood film in North America. Jim Gianopulos CEO of the foreign studio said that “My Name is Khan” is releasing worldwide with 2000 prints. “MNIK is a powerful, emotional journey that will cross borders and cultures to enthrall the audiences. An old man exchanging pleasant moments and some romantic dialogues with his wife when we saw the old man face we got panic. It’s none other than Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh khan he has wrinkles in face; he has white hair and balled head. This was the fresh look sported by SRK in the recent dish TV commercial. The ad is made for the renowned media corporation. The ad has SRK and Tisca chopra in the lead. The TV commercial was conceptualized and created by most popular lyricist and ad industry baron Prason Joshi and McCann World Group Team. The TV commercial was directed by Bollywood’s ace director Anurag Basu and the small girl who featured in the ad is Anurag Basu’s daughter who adores King Khan as god. Shahrukh Khan was paid a whooping amount of 10 crores for the commercial. But the total value of the campaign is said to be 30 crores.
