Microsoft has get caught in great economic crisis that it is going to sack 800 employees across the globe. The spokes person of the company said, “the latest job cuts are spread across the company's global operations, but about 200 are in and around its headquarters in Redmond, Washington” according to the source Microsoft originally planned to cut 5000 jobs or about 5% in its total employees strength which is 96,000 before January 2010. The spokes person also added “the plan has been expanded with the new layoffs and is now complete, well ahead of schedule”. As of October 23rd, Microsoft is having 91,005 employees across the world as per the information provided in it's official website.
In the fast growing software market Google is becoming the major threat for Microsoft as it’s expands its boundaries beyond search engine now it’s also stepping into business application which is the strong hold of Microsoft till now. But when it comes to trust most of the Chief Information Officers are with Microsoft. In a recent survey conducted by a leading organization polled a 90-member panel of U.S. IT executives and asked "Who do they trust more as a technology partner, Microsoft or Google?" in the first 12 respondents 8:4 votes for Microsoft. Even though Google provides its service with less expense, speed up deployments, and provide users with a simpler experience. But apart from all these things Google has to convince the IT leaders to transfer their company datas from the internal servers to Google’s data centre with all the privacy, security, and compliance risks that such a move entails, reports TechRepublic.
Mr. Donna Trivison, Director of IT for Ursuline College, commented on this trend that, "There seems to be some conventional wisdom that Google is the answer to what's been wrong over the years in the Microsoft universe. That kind of thinking may be dangerous. As consumers of technology, we need to keep each and every business partner honest and working for us. Handing trust carte blanche over to Google because, as the wisdom goes, they are good citizens seems misguided to me. If I had to pick one, it would probably be Microsoft because they have withstood the scrutiny their misdeeds have landed them. Google remains, for the most part, untested."
Lance Taylor Warren, CIO of H.A.W.C. Community Health Centers, also added that, "Neither. While some of the technology that Google has been releasing is intriguing, their track record of leaving things in 'beta' for years does not lead to a high level of confidence. Microsoft is Microsoft. If I had to pay full price for their products, I would have to give serious consideration to other solutions." So this confrontation will come to an end soon but who is going to win the trust of IT people. Let’s wait & watch.
Since the world has become globalized, almost all professionals use Microsoft outlook for their internal email communications. Edit some phrase and add your own text there.
Save the mail now somewhere in your machine.
Open the mail again and see the message. You can see the edited one instead of the original message.
This leads to the chances of misusing the mails and anybody can easily change your words.And they can prove the fake one as an original message either until or unless you have not deleted your sent items. Think how critical a issue this is. Have not the Microsoft people noticed this yet or they don’t have any solution? They have not answered yet. Rather than waiting for them to do some thing about this, Its high time that we do something to be on the safer side.

The World’s most popular operating system is once again setting their foot with their new edition WINDOWS-7. Actually Microsoft had a miserable experience with their previous edition Vista which failed in the market 3 years ago. So they have taken at most care for their new product which is going to hit the market soon (legally).Microsoft has also told that Customers who buy a new PC with Vista will be offered upgrades to Windows 7.
Microsoft's Steve Guggenheimer said: "We've received great feedback from our partners who are looking forward to offering Windows 7 to their customers in time for the holidays."
Mr Guggenheimer said that Microsoft will make an upgrade option available, so PC makers and retail partners can offer customers the ability to purchase a Windows Vista-based PC and install Windows 7 when it is released. He also added that Windows 7 will also have "comparable system requirements"
Windows 7 is expected to be a good come back of Microsoft. Because it promises the usability improvement and simplification of security measures as it caused the frustration in users who used vista. Another added feature of windows 7 is it is faster than vista in terms of start up and shut down sequence of computer.
TAIL BIT-Windows 7 will be officially available to the public on 22nd of October.
